How to make a gift of real estate
Gifts of real estate may include developed property, undeveloped property, or gifts subject to a prior life estate interest. The Georgia-Cumberland Association of Seventh-day Adventists, Inc., will act in the interest of GCA, with all property rights intended for GCA given to the Association. Your real property may be given to the Association by executing or signing a deed transferring ownership. Upon the sale of the property, the Association will provide GCA with the proceeds. You may deed part or all of your real property to the Association. Your gift will generally be based on the property's fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal.
